TNI respects individual privacy and values the confidence of its customers, employees, vendors, users and business partners. Not only does TNI strive to collect, use, and disclose personally identifiable information (Personal Information) in a manner consistent with the laws of the countries in which it does business, but it also has a tradition of upholding the highest ethical standards in its business practices. This Privacy Policy sets forth the privacy principles that TNI follows with respect to collection, usage and transfer of Personal Information anywhere in the world, including transfers from the European Union (EU) to the United States.

    • "TNI" means Thompson Nightingale International Pty Ltd its predecessors, successors, subsidiaries, divisions and groups.

    • "User" means any user of the TNI website, including TNI customers and their guests who may register or respond TNI Managed Events or Surveys.

When a user visits our website, we collect information about the visit that does not identify the user personally. We track information such as the domain from which the user is visiting and the user's browser type. We also collect specific information regarding the user's session on our website. This includes items such as the date and time of the visit and the pages viewed.

Sometimes we ask a user to voluntarily provide personally identifiable information (PII). This information generally includes, but is not limited to name, e-mail address, postal address and contact number. We request this information when the user requests one of the following:

  • To register to attend a course or meeting

  • To sign up for a mailing list

  • To correspond with us

TNI does not collect any personally identifiable financial or health-related information.

Non-personally identifiable information (non-PII) is collected to allow us to analyse how our website is used and to improve the content and service the website provides.

Personally identifiable information is collected for analysis to improve the content of the website and the services we provide the user.

TNI owns the collected information and will not sell, trade, or rent the information to others. We may use the information to continue contact with the user. This may include contact such as follow-up calls, e-mail correspondence, or mail correspondence to follow-up on the contact or to provide marketing information about latest new courses, new services, or important updates. TNI may share this information with its business partners for the specific purpose of a promotion or service offering.

TNI utilises industry standard methods and mechanisms such as firewalls, intrusion monitoring, and passwords to protect electronic information.

TNI web site may contain links to other internet web sites. TNI neither controls nor endorses external sites and is not responsible for the content of such sites. This policy does not cover the privacy policies and data collection practices of non-TNI web sites.

How to opt out of correspondence

Based on the information a user has provided, TNI may send e-mail correspondence to the user. Each correspondence will contain an easy means to opt out of further correspondence. Login to the TNI database portal to update your details.

Payments/Event Registration

TNI has partnered with Cvent (Online Event Management Software). Cvent is a global leader in event registration software with a password-protected login for staff or delegates to register themselves to your upcoming events. 

Payments made via the Cvent website for registration to the various conferences.  Please refer to the Cvent website for their full Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

TNI will not disclose or share Personal Information collected on its web site with any third party, except as required by law and/or pursuant to a governmental request, or as necessary to provide services to support its software solutions. For example, TNI may pass Personal Information to our business partners necessary to process online/eCommerce payments and related reservations. TNI never has, and never will, use information collected by it’s customers via the TNI/Cvent system for any purposes other than those specifically designated by its customers.

TNI customers may invite guests to register for events created in the TNI/Cvent application. If a user/guest chooses to register for an event and provides Personal Information during registration, that information is transferred to the event Planner (TNI). Similarly, survey responses submitted will be presented to Planner after submission. Any information collected by TNI is owned in its entirety by the customer.

Payment must accompany registration. Places only confirmed on receipt of full fee.

Event Registration

TNI customers may invite guests to register for events created in the TNI/Cvent application. If a user/guest chooses to register for an event and provides personal information during registration, that information is transferred to the event Planner (TNI). Similarly, survey responses submitted will be presented to planner after submission. Any information collected by TNI is owned in its entirety by the customer.

Cancellations

Please review the cancellation policy for each specific meeting.

IP Addresses

TNI/Cvent may use user IP addresses to diagnose problems with Cvent servers and to administer the TNI/Cvent application.

Security

TNI through Cvent has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of information under its control. TNI uses the Cvent software products and as such Cvent protects secure data with industry-standard firewall and password protection systems. Cvent periodically reviews and improves its security and privacy policies as necessary. Only pre-authorized individuals have access to Cvent servers and information provided by its users.

Data Integrity

TNI will use Personal Information only in ways that are compatible with the purposes for which it was collected or subsequently authorized by the individual. Reasonable steps will be taken to ensure that Personal Information is relevant accurate, complete and current, to its intended use.

Access and Correction 

TNI as a Cvent user may change or modify previously submitted Personal Information by (i) using the User Profile Manager within the "My Account" section of the Cvent application or (ii) sending an email request to customercare@Cvent.com.

Please note that no data transmission over the Internet is infallible. Any information transmitted through the TNI/Cvent application is done at the user’s own risk. Once TNI/Cvent receives the information, it will take every reasonable precaution to ensure its security.
