1-Day Virtual intensive GYN MRI Course
Time & Location
About the Event
Dr Alberto Vargas, Chief, Body Imaging Service, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, will present lectures throughout the day via Zoom. Each delegate will work through a set of cases in their own virtual room either alone or, if preferred, in small groups. The cases will be displayed in a Synapse PACS system in the cloud with the original clinical information available to the registrants, simulating a real time reporting experience. Registrants will also have the answers (in report form with annotated key images) available in PACS power jackets with learning points for each case.

The course format is structured so that delegates will have time to review & “report” each set of cases. Faculty will be available throughout the day to assist when requested. At the end of the allocated reviewing time, a member of the faculty will then formally review the set of cases as a whole group, reinforcing the teaching points raised.

The course will conclude with an MDM style segment with lectures from an invited GYN ONC surgeon and GYN ONC pathologist followed by an expert panel Q&A session.

In addition to reviewing the cases on the day of the course, the set of 60 cases will also be available for review by registrants for the 2 weeks following the course. This immersive instructional course is designed to allow registrants to review “real” cases in a “real-life” reporting PACS format to simulate daily practice. It is also an opportunity to be involved in a multidisciplinary team discussion, share the learning experience with colleagues and make new contacts in a new virtual setting.
